Tea drinkers, let your car bumper do the talking with a tea-themed bumper sticker. Just be sure to keep it on the light-hearted or downright humorous side. No heavy political or philosophical messages. There’s enough road rage out there.
One thing we’re really known for in the U.S. is speaking our minds, part of that whole Freedom of Speech thing. It can be especially useful when spreading the word to the uninitiated about that wonderful and versatile beverage: tea!
We also like to drive our cars. We drive to stores and restaurants and movie theatres and our place of work and the kids’ schools and… You get the idea. So, why not use those cars as an instrument of self-expression about your love for tea? Bumper stickers are the perfect solution. Here are a few ideas:
- “My Other Car Is A Teapot”
- “Fueled by Tea”
- “So long for Oolong”
- “Stuck in traffic? Pull over and have a cup of tea.”
- “Honk If You Like Tea”
- “Darjeeling, darling?”
- “Tea Blends Are More Fun”
- “I Break For Tea”
- “Tea Drinkers Keep It Loose”
Not the most inspired, I realize. Sorry. You can come up with a few of your own. Just steep up a big pot of your favorite tea for inspiration, maybe even have a few friends over, and see if “group inspiration” strikes. Then, create the bumper stickers on your computer, print out, and tape to your bumper. Now you’re ready to cruise around town à la American Graffiti (although in more fuel-efficient cars) and honk your horn at pedestrians to be sure they notice the bumper stickers. Carry a large travel mug of tea that you can wave at them and then take a big swig as they watch. Just don’t be driving too fast.
Keep the bumper stickers short and sweet, sort of like a quick cup of strong, sweet tea for your mid-afternoon break. You want to be sure they’re readable. (Ever been driving behind a car with a really complex bumper sticker? If you’re like me, you pulled up close behind them at the stoplight to read it. Don’t make other tea lovers out there do the “bumper sticker reader inch up.”)
After your cruise around town has been accomplished in a thorough and conscientious manner, head to your favorite tea joint for more of your favorite “brew” (tea, that is). Then, think about some more bumper sticker ideas for your next cruise. Enjoy!
