5 English Tea Store Teas To Try for National Iced Tea Month

Did you know June is Iced Tea Month? It’s the perfect month for it since the weather begins to warm up by then. Not sure which tea to start with? Here are a few of our favorite teas to enjoy with ice:

English Tea Store’s Long Island Strawberry Green Tea is perfect for summer. Sweet strawberry and papaya pieces give this green tea the summery vibe that you’re looking for. Enjoy iced with a summer salad with strawberries. Now available in convenient 1 gallon tea bags!

English Tea Store’s Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose Festival Green Tea is a high quality green tea with a sweet cherry flavor to help bring out the exotic flavor. As a green tea, it’s already quite refreshing as a hot tea, so imagine how it would be with ice? A winning combination!

English Tea Store’s Lady Londonderry Tea My personal favorite of all our teas. This black tea has a strawberry lemon punch of flavor in a mellow, malty flavored black tea from Sri Lanka.

English Tea Store’s Butterfly Pea Tea This one is sure to be a hit, especially among children! This is the famous color changing tea that you’ve probably seen on social media. What makes it change color? Lemon! You can easily make an iced lemon purple butterfly pea tea or make 1 part tea, 1 part lemonade to make a drink named after a famous golfer. Or if you’re into simple (or prefer blue over purple) then there’s nothing wrong with being blue.

English Tea Store’s Peach Black Tea Who doesn’t like biting into a fresh, juicy peach? Our peach black tea will take you straight to the peach orchards with its unique and fresh flavors in a delicate Sri Lanka Ceylon tea.

For a good, strong iced tea, make it cold brew! Cold brew brings out a stronger flavor with a longer steep time and less watering down due to less ice melting than the traditional method. Start by placing 5 teabags or one large tea filter bag filled with 3 teaspoons of loose leaf tea into a 1.5-liter pitcher.

Fill the pitcher with cold water and place in the fridge for 6+ hours.

Remove tea bags from the pitcher and serve over ice. For a refreshing fruity kick, add some pieces of frozen fruit like raspberries or peaches or fresh fruit like lemon.

For other methods of making iced tea, check out our iced tea page and scroll to the bottom where you will find ways to make tea using the traditional way and sun tea in addition to cold brew iced tea.

Happy Summer!
